: A Polar Bear Home
Sep 18, 2006

Most times polar bears will just plop down and sleep wherever. But sometimes to get out of the weather they will dig a den in the snow, the snow actually insulates quite well from the harsh cold wind. Mother polar bears will dig a den to have their babies in and nurse them there for quite some time before introducing them to the world.

New Home Storyline

Don’t worry, the new home storyline will come to a close soon, we covered Adelie penguin homes so now of course we need to cover polar bear homes. We’ll get them a new home soon and get back to some more random fun.

Love Osborne in the 3rd panel! 😆

I bet he’s thinking, “Wet and cold or jagged rocks, wet and cold or jagged rocks?”

The new home story line is cool and all, but I’m glad we will soon get back to random fun (and the random craziness)! 😛

  2. Phizlo says:

A polar bear home sounds like a good idea. Better than jagged rocks hurting your butt. 🙂

  3. Canadian Mooseman says:

    lol

  4. LlamaHomefry says:

Nice comic! I love Osbourne’s look! xD Good job!

  5. Jesse says:

What would osborne do? go bump the penguin off his rocks? All those girl penguins would probably beat him up.

  6. Zack says:

lol hilarious, i still miss the penguin facts, unless u wqant me to do one………….. o well
i go with wet and cold, better than jagged rocks!

  7. Anonymous says:

when Tyler said he was making a home story line i thought i hope he does a polar bear home or an igloo

  8. Sheena says:

LOL!! 😀 😀 Definately hilarious. I just got home from school, I needed that.

I STILL think Tyler should use my idea of Superwally building a football stadium out of rocks and begin a storyline about them learning how to play football!! 🙁 Anyway nice comic. 🙂

  9. Hannah the Penguin Freak!!!!!!! says:

hey Zack I was wondering if anyone would miss my penguin facts… 🙁
no one really seemed to notice when I stopped…

well anyway I’m excited 😀 for more random stuff!!!! 😀

  10. Zack says:

    poetic justice?
I wanna have some rocks too!

note: hannah, where did you go! we need your facts!

  11. Mysterygal says:

Nice. Poor Osbourne probably embarrased in haveing to build and (hopefully) live in a polar bear den…at least it’s better than waking up one morning and finding pebbles stuck on your butt…

  12. S. Dolphin says:

    HA! Real funny!!

Yeah Hannah i miss your fact it gets kinda boring without them!

  13. Jai Inder says:

Yeah well of course snow insulates well. I mean when you go camping in the north, and in the winter, you do the same thing. Dig a little tunnel and put your sleeping bag in there, and put your head where the air is.

In the comic: I am not sure what that black surface is. It surely can’t be ice, and I don’t know of any black moss that grows in the way way down under… Someone explain to this uneducated fool.

  14. shanana says:

    In response to Jai:

The color of the ground can be explained by this comic:

  15. Joepro says:

My Internet went down and I havn’t seen W&O scince last Friday. How did I survive?

  16. Edi says:

Hannah, I missed your facts too, I’ve been wondering just silently :/ Facts please…And your..Cousin? She was doing facts too, where is she?

  17. Maqui says:

Too bad Wally didn’t take out his fact book about Polar Bears!

  18. Canadian Mooseman says:

That would be awesome if Wally dug a little hole and when the went in it seemed like a giant mansion thingy. That would be hilarious. Wally doesn’t have good architectural skills though.

  19. Canadian Mooseman says:

I wonder what their house is gonna look like when its finsihed…

P.S. I miss all the penguin facts

  20. hey people u miss me and my facts!!!!!!!!!
    well here is one:

The Chinstrap penguins are the most numerous penguins in the world. There are
about 12-13 million located in the Sub-Antarctic region and the Antarctic peninsula.

There will be more penguin facts coming soon! 😀

  21. and hey guess what?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?
Today in Washington State History, we were watching this video and there were
mountains and stuff, and someone said “hey look there’s some penguins!”
And someone else said “no stupid penguins only live in the south”
And the first person said “well lets just ask Hannah”
but before i could answer the teacher said “this is not penguin class, this is history class be quiet and watch the video”
It was funny, especially since the teacher didnt even know I like penguins.

  22. and hey Edi I have no clue why my cousin Alexis isn’t posting polar bear
    facts anymore…. 😥

  23. Zack says:

LOL i wish i saw that, like theres this kid in class, everytime u even say “Penguin” hes like ” LITTLE BLUE! LITTLE BLUE” in a baby voice,

  24. Roi says:

So Wally’s usefulness is praised by Osbourne again! I wonder what the chances of it backfiring at Osbourne are?

Who am I kidding, it’s always going to.

  25. Zack says:

hannah it looks like u like saying everythng in one go!

  26. Polar Panicker says:

Dont worry! i have some polar bear facts
Did you know that polar Bears camouflage their black nose by covering it with their hand so they cant be seen?

    Be Back Next Week

  27. BriaN says:

i think it’d be funny if they made an igloo…

  28. Jonah says:

TYLER! Whats with the lack of updates. You promised youlld get back on schedule. That only lasted 2 weeks! LOL i likethis storyline though

  29. Zack says:

heh we dunno each other, unless u count seeing each other like evryday in wally and osborne.com i mis one thing now, that big brown bird, the Skuas remember? Im might start a skua fact XD i think

  30. eris says:

I found this article on Reuters about a highly unusual low level of pack ice recently. Low enough that a ship could have sailed from Siberia to the North Pole nearly unimpeded the article says. Thought you all might be interested.

  31. Canadian Mooseman says:

when will the new updates continue????

  32. hey people has anyone noticed that I always say hey people
at the beginning of a ll my comments? 😕
well heres the penguin fact for today! 😀

When King penguins were first discovered, they thought the babies were a different species because of all their brown fuzz. Explorers called them the “wooly penguins”

and hey Zack that would be cool if you started a skua fact 😎

  33. Zack says:

sure ok hannah heres fact uno

Skuas don’t nest, they just lay their eggs on some flat ground and defend it fiercely against intruders. The chick wanders around as soon as it can walk. If you get too close, they start posturing and screaming, then they attack you from behind, eventually hitting you on the head or sometimes stealing your hat to throw it in the sea

  34. Jai Inder says:

Whoa. That is some black crap, but then again, can penguins really cover a whole area in such crap? I can’t imagine that being possible. Sorry folks, I want a better answer than that. Where’s the PROOF! I WANT PROOF! and an army of pengiuns, but that will never happen now. :`(

  35. BriGuy says:

We just started posting stuff when found out about the comic. And as for where people get the time to look up the facts about animals, I guess if they enjoy it they just look it up in their free time. I guess it’s like if you have to do research for a project, you just do it when ever you have free time.

I can’t wait to see what Wally’s house ends up looking like. I can’t decide if I think it will be a disaster/mess/wreck or a great work of art! 🙂

  36. BriGuy says:

I personally started posting a couple days after I started reading the comic on this site, although I found the comic on Funbrain.

  37. bigd-wadefan says:

    LOL hilarios,amazazing, and awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  38. Bluey says:

and hopefully they wolnt start making homes for the needy 🙂

  39. Jenny says:

First Adelie home, now polar bear home, just how do these guys get their ideas on where to live?
